WÖRTER DIE ES IN ENGLISCH NICHT GIBT

I've compiled a list of great German words that I've struggled to find a good English translation for.

Kollegenkreis: A warm description for a group of colleagues.

Waldeinsamkeit: The feeling you have when you are alone and happy in a forest.

Heimat: It means something like your heart's home.

Heimweh: Homesick but different...

Knopfleiste: It sounds so cute in German but flip, button placket is just not a sexy compound noun.

Farbklecks: Again, there the translation "paint splash" exists but it doesn't sound as awesome as its German equivalent.

Geschenkt: There's no special word for giving someone a present. In German you have "geben" and "schenken", and the latter is specifically for bestowing someone with something good.

Jein: It's a mixture of yes and no.
